The Spirit of Sierra

Sierra, meaning mountain range in Spanish, reminds us of the highs and lows of life’s journey.
Let yourself remember and cherish your smallness at the depths of the hallowed valleys.
Let yourself climb to the sacred peaks and grow into the infinite sky.

My Background

I was born in colorful Colorado, and grew up surrounded by the beautiful Rockies. As a child, I got involved in cheerleading and volleyball, which kick started my interest in movement and the human body. At Colorado State University, I studied Health and Exercise Sciences and Business Administration. During my senior year, I broke 2 bones and was bedridden. This was an extremely hard time, but I took the time that I was physically healing to dive deep and get to know myself. The combination of physical movement and emotional healing unlocked what I had been searching for, and I knew mindful movement could help others as well.

My Training

Yoga and meditation played a huge role in my healing journey, and inspired me to pursue teaching yoga. In January 2o22, I took my first ever solo international trip to attend a yoga teacher training in Peru! Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Sacred Valley, I felt my spirit reflected back to me and the Spirit of Sierra was born! After 2 weeks in this magical land I returned home and began implementing the magic in my own life. A few months later, I completed the full 200 hours and officially became a Meditation & Yoga Teacher!

My Vision

Spirit of Sierra is more than just yoga. It is a space of healing, connecting, learning, and growing. It is constant but ever-changing, just like that mountain range. Right now, I offer public group classes, private group and individual classes, and community events. Stick around to see where we go from here!
